Gas, Heating & Hot Water Emergencies

No heat, no hot water won't wait either.

A dead boiler, no hot water or a suspected gas smell — isolated safely, diagnosed properly, and fixed by Gas Safe registered engineers.

Heating and hot water failures are unusual in that the discomfort and the underlying fault are often two separate problems. Getting the system running again matters, especially with children, elderly residents or freezing weather in the property; finding out why it failed — and whether it's safe — is a slower job that's easy to underestimate if it's not properly diagnosed. We treat both stages as part of the same visit, so you're not left with a "quick fix" that fails again within days.

What to do while you wait

What to do if you smell gas or lose heating

If you suspect a gas leak, or your heating or hot water has failed, a few steps make a real difference:

  • If you smell gas, turn off the gas supply at the meter if it's safe to reach, and do not use any switches, naked flames or your phone inside the property
  • Open windows and doors to ventilate the property if you smell gas
  • Leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999, then contact us
  • For a failed boiler with no gas smell, check the boiler pressure gauge and note any error code displayed
  • Keep vulnerable residents (children, elderly, anyone unwell) warm with extra layers while you wait for a fixed appointment
  • Do not attempt to relight a boiler or work on gas appliances yourself — this is Gas Safe registered work only

Call us as soon as the gas is isolated or the fault is noted — the faster we can diagnose the issue, the sooner it can be repaired safely.

01

Gas Leak Investigation

Suspected gas leaks investigated and isolated safely — smell of gas, hissing sounds, or dead vegetation near gas pipes.

A gas smell is always treated as the highest priority. We isolate the supply at the meter if needed, test for leaks using approved equipment, and only restore supply once it's confirmed safe. Never attempt to find or fix a gas leak yourself — this is Gas Safe registered work only.

  • Gas smell investigation
  • Supply isolation at meter
  • Leak testing with approved equipment
  • Safety certification
02

Boiler Breakdowns

No heat, no hot water or error codes on the boiler — diagnosed properly and repaired by Gas Safe engineers, not just reset and left.

A boiler that's stopped working can be anything from a simple pressure issue to a failed component or a safety lockout. We find out why it failed, not just that it's not running — and we'll explain whether it's a quick fix or needs a part ordered, so you're not left with a "temporary" repair that fails again within days.

  • No heat or hot water diagnosis
  • Boiler error code investigation
  • Component replacement
  • Pressure & system checks
03

Radiator & Heating Zone Faults

Cold radiators, failed heating zones or leaking radiator valves — traced to the fault and repaired so the heating works as it should.

A radiator that won't heat up, or a zone that's gone cold, is often a valve or pump issue rather than the boiler itself. We check the whole system — boiler, pump, valves, thermostats — so the actual fault is fixed, not just the symptom.

  • Cold radiator diagnosis
  • Failed heating zone repair
  • Radiator valve replacement
  • Pump & thermostat faults
04

Hot Water Cylinder & Immersion Faults

No hot water from the cylinder, failed immersion heater or leaking hot water tank — repaired or replaced safely.

A hot water cylinder that's not heating can be the immersion heater, the thermostat, or the tank itself. We test each component and replace what's failed, so you're not paying for parts you don't need. For old or corroded tanks, we'll advise on whether repair or replacement is the better long-term solution.

  • Immersion heater replacement
  • Cylinder thermostat faults
  • Hot water tank leaks
  • Safety checks
05

Carbon Monoxide & Gas Safety

Carbon monoxide alarm activation or gas safety concerns — investigated immediately, appliances tested and made safe.

A CO alarm going off is always an emergency. We isolate the suspected appliance, test for CO levels, and only restore supply once it's confirmed safe. For landlords and homeowners, we can also provide gas safety checks and CP12 certificates where required.

  • CO alarm investigation
  • Appliance safety testing
  • Gas safety checks
  • CP12 certificates

Common questions

I can smell gas — what should I do right now?

Turn off the gas at the meter if it's safe to do so, don't use any switches or naked flames, open windows, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 immediately, then contact us.

Are your engineers Gas Safe registered?

Yes — all gas work is carried out only by Gas Safe registered engineers, and we can provide registration details before any work begins.

How quickly can you attend a boiler breakdown?

Most call-outs across W3, W5, W7 and W13 are attended within a few hours of first contact. Reports of a gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm are always treated as the highest priority.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

Yes — a standard call-out fee applies to cover assessment and travel, separate from any repair cost, and is usually offset against the final invoice if you go ahead with the repair.

Will you provide a written quote before ordering parts?

Yes. Once the fault is diagnosed, we confirm the cost of any parts and labour in writing before ordering anything.

What areas do you cover?

Response is focused on Ealing, Acton, Hanwell and West Ealing, and the surrounding W3, W5, W7 and W13 postcodes.
